Winter is hard.
This winter is no exception.
Wind, snow, power outages.
Isolation.
You wouldn’t think that wintertime would be a good season for snapping photos, but I’m finding that if I bundle up, get out there and look around a bit, I find some great images.
Leading lines, values, gradients, negative space.
Patterns, depth, texture.
Light and dark. (Okay, dim and dark.)
I’ve been shooting almost exclusively black and white this winter, and it really lends itself to this dim season.
